Traffic measurement (server logs)

We measure traffic without tracking pixels, without JavaScript and without any third-party analytics service. The basis is the access logs that our hosting provider (All-Inkl, acting as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR) keeps for technical reasons anyway and deletes after seven days. Once a day we condense them into plain daily statistics: number of visits, pages viewed, referring website, entry page, country and city. These permanently stored statistics contain no IP address – they consist of numbers only. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, legitimate interest in traffic measurement without user tracking.

Interest form

When you register interest on the home page, we store your email address and what you do, plus – if you fill them in – your name, what you retouch with today and your message, along with the time and language of the submission. The submission is also delivered by email to our mailbox with the same hosting provider.

We use this to email you when the beta starts and with questions about your message – not for a newsletter and not for other products. Legal basis is your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time; a short reply to one of our emails or an email to the address above is enough. We then delete your submission.

To protect against automated submissions, the server keeps your IP address for at most one hour to limit the number of submissions per connection. It is not stored with the submission itself. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, legitimate interest in protection against spam.

Your submission is kept until you withdraw consent or until we no longer need it for this purpose.

Download log

When you download a build, the server records timestamp, file name, version, your IP address, the browser identification string and the referring page. This is used to detect abuse (mass automated downloads) and is stored only as long as necessary for that purpose. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Desktop app – update check

FlashRetouch asks our server whether an update is available, usually once a day and whenever you check for updates manually. The only thing transmitted is the program name and version number (FlashRetouch/<version>) – no device details, no usage data, no file paths and no image content. The request is covered by the traffic measurement section above.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to withdraw any consent. Requests to: hello@flashview.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
